Learning Objectives:


  1. Participants will learn iPad basic tips.
  2. Participants will create a brief digital story.
  3. Participants will create a one screen screencast by taking a picture, annotating the image, and recording audio for the image.
  4. Participants will annotate a PDF on the iPad.
  5. Participants will review iPad apps of interest using links provided.

Activity 1: iPad Basics
Experiment with basic tools on the iPad to
be used during the session.









Activity 2: Screencasting
Use a picture taken previously, or take a
new one. Use ScreenChomp to annotate
and record narration for a one scene
screencast.









Activity 3: Digital Storytelling
Using PuppetPals, create a digital story
about your summer vacation, a trip you
took, or a great book you've recently read.








Activity 4: Annotating PDF's
Using the "Activity Resources" listed,
open the PDF in neu.Annotate+. Divide
into four groups for each of the topics in
the report. Read the article highlighting
and annotating important information as
you read. Be prepared to Think, Pair,
Share your group's findings about the study.








Activity 5: App Reviews
Using the "Activity Resources" listed for
educational apps descriptions, review the
apps for possible use in your classroom.
Select five apps you think would be useful
to you in your classroom. Be prepared to
share your responses.
